Our Team at a Glance

The Chicago Style Botdogs, officially FRC Team 4645, is a robotics team with a diverse and talented background of 100+ students. From encouraging opportunities in STEM to helping other FRC teams, our team aims to benefit the surrounding communities near Lane Tech and Chicago through mentoring students and promoting robotics. Our team is almost entirely student-led: the core components of leadership, design, and execution are decisions made at the student's discretion.

Since our rookie year of 2013, we have:

Two times qualified for the FIRST World Championship.
Six separate Spirit Awards at the Illinois Central Competition.
Taught essential engineering and technology skills to past and current members.
Supported other FRC and FLL teams in their team design plan and structure.
Proud contributor to promoting CSEdWeek at Lane Tech.

2025 ReefScape Season News - 3/10/25

Testing

Our team has finished designing and building our robot, and are now spending our last couple weeks until competition testing our robot. We are fixing and modifying our robot as we find flaws in the design, and our drive team is simultaneously gaining practice and experience. It is so exciting to see our robot come to life after months of hard work, and we are so excited to come to competition!

What is Robot Reveal?

Robot reveal is when our team will release our competition robot to the public! Sponsors, parents, and other students are graciously invited to Lane Tech on March 5th to witness our 2025 competition robot for the first time this season. We're incredibly thankful for all the support from sponsors, coaches, and mentors this season!
